Adaraneeya prarthana is an upcoming Sri Lankan
romantic music film directed by Wasaw Baduge. The specialty is that this is
the first film directed by Wasawa Badsuge. Although he is a popular music video
director and creator of marvelous music videos such as "Sadanari,
Sansarini, and Sharadha’ he hasn’t directed
any films so far. Because of this, he gave more chances to new and upcoming
artists in the film industry to show their talents in Adaraneeya prarthana.
Also, the executive producer of this film is Ishantha Withanage, and it is
co-produced by Wasawa Badduge and Yasas Medagedara. In every film, the script
plays a major role. It greatly affects the success of the film. This romantic
script of the Adaraneeya Prarthana was written by Malindu Gajadheera and
Ranganath Weerasingha. The cinematography of Adaraneeya Prarthana supports the
overall look and mood of a film’s visual narrative. It’s also the amazing work
of director Wasawa Baduge. They planned to shoot this film in Sri Lanka and, they also planned to shoot some scenes in
Australia. But unfortunately, because of the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions,
they couldn’t shoot in Australia.
The story
of Adaraneeya Prarthana has three main protagonists. So, this film centres
around a love triangle between these three main protagonists, Rahul, Menakaa, and Parami. Rahul comes back to
Sri Lanka from abroad, and torn between two women, Menaka and Parami, he
embarks on a journey tainted with broken promises and heartbreak in pursuit of
answers. Rahul Rishika, who is an upcoming actor, greatly acted this Rahul's
character. In his first film experience, it can seem he has given his maximum
contribution to the success of Rahul's character and getting the audience's
attraction. Shanudri Priyasad, who is one of the popular actresses among the
young crowd, acts as a Menaka. We can see her wonderful facial expressions in
the trailer of the Adaraneeya Prarthana. Another main protagonist is Prami.
Nethmi Roshel is the actress who brings the paramis’ character to the audience.
Like Rahul, Adaraneeya Prarthana is the first film of Nethmi Roshel. As a
newcomer actress, Roshel also gave her massive contribution to bring this film
to the Sri Lankan audience. It seems like her first cinematic experience will
be a turning point in her life. Also, Mihirangi Hettiarachchi acted as Madu and
Nimesh Weeranga acted as Saliya. These two are also newcomers to the film
industry.
Although this film hasn't been released yet, they have been able to
attract a larger audience. There are several factors that have contributed to
this. I believe that the music of the Adaraneeya Prathana film is the main
reason for attracting more audiences, in my opinion. There are seven
mind-blowing songs in this film, which give the musical experience of a
romantic love story to the audience. Among the seven songs, they still released
only four songs on YouTube. Those four songs are "Madhurabhani, Seethala
Sulange, Therunado wisal adare, and Sewwandi paya". Yasasa Madegedra, who
is one of the most talented and popular music directors in Sri Lanka, is the
music director of this romantic film. His wonderful talent could uplift this
film, and he could be able to add more beauty to this film with his music.
"Mdhurabhani" is the song that was

creation of the voice and music of Yasas Madegedara and the lyrics of Shehan
Galahitiyawa. By today, ‘mudurabhani’ songs could be able to reach more than
800k views. This is a song that is deeply infused with our feelings.
"Seethala Sulage" is the second song from the movie, and it was

beautifully written words of Ayodhya Fernando. "Sewwandi paya" is the

Bathiya and Santhush, reaches another milestone of 1.5 million views even
before the movie's release. I think because of Bathiya’s and Santhush’s magical

Adaraneeya Prarthana released its trailer 3
months ago, and it seems to be like a Bollywood movie trailer. After the movie
Trailor, the Sri Lankan audience is super excited to see this masterpiece.
Because of the Easter Sunday attack and the COVID-19 pandemic, Sri Lankan film
audiences haven’t got a chance to enjoy a film like this. Also, there haven't
been romantic and beautiful songs from the film in a long time. Therefore, I
hope this film will be a hit and will be a huge success in the Sri Lankan film
industry.
