Arjun Reddy was a Thelugu movie which was released on 25 th of August in 2017. It was directed by Mr.Sandeep Reddy Vanga who is a well known director in Thelugu film industry. The main character of the movie was Mr. Vijay Devarakonda who acts as Arjun Reddy and is a talented and phenomenal actor. He had done few movies before acting in this movie but this was the turning point of his career as an actor in the industry. This movie was done under a budget of 7 crores and it has earned more than 50 crores all over the world and this was a blockbuster movie as well. This movie was rated 8.0 out of 10 in IMDb ratings.Later, the remake of this movie was released in Tamil language and Hindi for the enjoyment of the audience which was built around the story line of this movie even they had language barrier. These movies were also directed by Mr. Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The main character of Adithya Varma was Dhruv Vikram who is the son of well known actor Chiyaan Vikram. Kabhir Singh was done by Shahid Kapoor who was also a giant star in Bollywood film industry and both of these movies were also became hit because of the heart warming and inspiring storyline that links with the talents of the actors.
Mainly this story was about the love story of a short tempered and a good hearted person who fights alone with the cast barriers and the social norms for his love and nearly end his career as a surgeon because of the failure of his love because of the decisions of their parents. The girl he falls in love was Preethi Shetty and this character was done by Shalini Panday and she performs so cleverly in this movie. Arjun Reddy was the reason for the popularity of her too. When considering about the characters, there is one more important character in this movie. He is Shiva, best friend of Dr. Arjun Reddy and he works as a doctor in his private clinic. This was done by mr. Rahul Ramakrishna who is a actor,writer and a journalist. This movie was the reason for his popularity in the industry. Dr.Shiva was a bit comedy character but he helps Dr. Arjun Reddy more like a brother while he faces so many hard situations and problems in his life. Arjun's character is filled with anger,sadness,drug addiction,drinking problems and so many difficult situations. But Shiva helps him in every situation and he takes care of him without leaving him eventhough he gets blamed by Arjun Reddy. When it comes to Priya Shetty's character, she is also a doctor who graduates from the same university. But has no gut to make own decision about the life with Arjun. This character shows the mentality of average Indian girls who are educated but still framed into the social norms. But she truely loves Arjun from the beginning and she takes the hardest decision that a girl can make by leaving her marriage life eventhough she is pregnant in that time. So at the end of the movie, they meet coincidentally and decide to get together again. Also there is a huge twist in this scene about the pregnancy of Preethy Shetty showing that true love still exists. According to a statement of Mr. Sandeep Reddy Vanga, this story was quite similar to his life moments. So we can say this is also a story that inspired by real life events.
In the past, Preethi's father opposed her and Arjun's relationship because of Arjun's violent behavior and because they belong to different castes. Love has no caste, religion or race. Love is a great thing. So this movie shows it very nicely. This is a beautiful movie that you can look forward to.
